Master in Business Administration

ARGUCOM offers Two years(2 yrs) Full Time Master in Business Administration (MBA FT) programme with dual specialization in the areas of Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, Production & Operations and Information Technology. The programme is based on CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) pattern. The industry pertinent syllabus complements the versatility in the challenges and needs of the regio-centric industries and is at par with global contemporary issues faced by organizations at large.

The course curriculum includes eight-week mandatory internship programme in an organization. We at ARGUCOM, offer quality management education and groom students for holistic development, with special emphasis on entrepreneurship and professionalism embedding cooperative philosophy.

Pedagogy: Case based lectures, Group discussion, movie analyses, role play exercises, real time projects, Management games, industry-academia symposium etc. The pedagogy is a juxtaposition of interactive sessions of learning by doing exercises and a sound theoretical framework.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) (Full Time)

MBA in ARGUCOM is a program that has been specifically tailored to meet the needs of the industry and is unique in both approach and content. The courses goal is to help students develop their skills in entrepreneurship and market strategies. The courses and modules are extremely demanding and are tailored to meet the needs of the business. This provides studentswith a competitive advantage in the job market. In addition to improving students abilities in the subject area, a strong focus is placed on improving corporate communication skills, entrepreneurial skills, analytical skills, technology skills, and critical thinking. Furthermore, to help students transition into academics, the course structure supports the process of students developing competencies to succeed in NET/SET.

Master of Commerce (M.Com)

M.Com in ARGUCOM is a specially designed course as per the industry requirement which is unique in both its methodology and content. The objective of the course is to build the competencies of the students in the functional areas of Commerce. The courses and modules are quite intensive and designed as per industry requirements. This gives added advantage to students for employment in the future. In addition to the ability enhancement of the students on the concerned subject matter, special emphasis is also given to enhancing corporate communication skills, analytical skills, technological skills, and critical thinking of the students. Further, to facilitate students for entry into academics, the course structure supports the process of competency building of the students for attaining success in NET/SET.

1.      Marketing prospects of Local dairy products and their competitiveness: A study in Sivasagar district.                                   

2.      A study of value-added products of black rice products in Assam.

3.      Implementation and feasibility of Geographical Indication at the Kotoky Papong village of Sivasagar District. 

4.      Multiparametric profiling of select local fruit juices of Assam: An empirical study based on customer perception and preference.                    

5.      A study on branding and repositioning of Assamese ethnic snacks in reference to  its health attributes.

Activities

  1. School of Entrepreneurship & Management, the Assam Rajiv Gandhi University of Cooperative Management organized an online webinar on Career Counselling for Graduate Students and Parents on 13/05/2022.
  2. School of Entrepreneurship and Management, Assam Rajiv Gandhi University of Cooperative Management organizes a webinar on “PR As a Managerial Skill” on 9th April 2022 with Shri Kashyap Joshipura, Rtd. Chief Manager (Corporate Communications), ONGCL, Assam Asst.
  3. School of Entrepreneurship and Management, the Assam Rajiv Gandhi University of Cooperative Management in collaboration with Crypto University successfully organized a webinar on the “Future of Blockchain & Cryptocurrency” on 7th April 2022.
  4. A one-day workshop on the Competitiveness of the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on 29th November 2021 at ARGUCOM.
  5. One day ICSSR sponsored National Seminar on Management for Sustainable Growth on 30th January 2020.
  6. 56th Cooperative week from 14th —24th November 2019 was organized for one week long, various and a Street play was performed.
  7. A one-day workshop was conducted on Philosophies of Gandhi on 2nd October 2019.
  8. Celebrated World Environment Day 5th June 2018.
  9. National Yoga Day was celebrated by conducting a day Yoga workshop on 21st June 2017.
  10. RKVY sponsored training was conducted from January to March 2017 for Cooperatives, SHGs, and Unemployed youths on the basics of Cooperative Management, IT Applications, and Accounts.
  11. Career counseling workshops were conducted for various Colleges in and around Sivasagar from 2017-to 18.
  12. Training on Natural Disaster Management was organized in July 2017.
  13. One Day International Seminar on “Managerial Practices for Development” in collaboration with ONGC, Sivasagar on 17th November 2017.
